UNS s31700 stainless steel round bar aka Alloy 317 is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel that possesses excellent corrosion resistance. Of all the 300 series stainless steels, alloy 317 (UNS s31700) is the most corrosion resistant and has the highest tensile and creep strength properties at elevated temperatures.
