Companies in the marine, oil, and chemical processing industries use a great deal of Monel in their machinery. Monel is a nickel alloy, prized for its strength and ability to resist corrosion. Its applications include crude petroleum stills, gasoline and fresh water tanks, marine fixtures and fasteners, and chemical processing equipment. At All Metals & Forge, clients can order Monel in several forms, including Monel 400 and Monel K500.

As resistant to corrosive forces as nickel but less expensive and easier to work with, Monel is widely used in situations where seawater, petroleum, or de-aerated acids come into contact with machinery. When a piece of equipment needs to stand up to interior or exterior corrosives, Monel is the fail-safe solution. It also has higher maximum working temperatures than nickel, making it the preferred metal for boiler feed water heaters and other heat exchangers.
