UNS S31700 Stainless Steel round bar alloy 317 – ASTM A314 A276

Category : Blog

UNS s31700 stainless steel round bar aka Alloy 317 is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel that possesses excellent corrosion resistance. Of all the 300 series stainless steels, alloy 317 (UNS s31700) is the most corrosion resistant and has the highest tensile and creep strength properties at elevated temperatures.

UNS S31635 Stainless Steel Round Bar ASTM A276

Category : Blog

UNS s31635 stainless steel grade 316Ti contains a small amount of titanium. Titanium content is typically only around 0.5%. The titanium content prevents carbide precipitation at the grain boundaries. It also protects the metal from corrosion.

The main advantage of 316Ti (UNS s31635 stainless steel round bar) is that it can be held at higher temperatures for a longer period without sensitization (precipitation) occurring. UNS s31635 316Ti retains physical and mechanical properties similar to standard grades of 316.

UNS S31603 Stainless Steel Round Bar ASTM A182

Category : Blog

UNS s31603 stainless steel round bar is a molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steel intended to provide improved corrosion resistance relative to type 304/304L in moderately corrosive process environments, particularly those containing chlorides or other halides.

The addition of molybdenum in UNS s31603 provides improved resistance to pitting and corrosion in environments containing chlorides and other halides. Type 316/316L has been used in handling many chemicals used by the process industries.

UNS S31600 Stainless Steel Round Bar ASTM A182

Category : Blog

UNS s31600 stainless steel round bar is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel containing molybdenum. This increases corrosion resistance, improves resistance to pitting chloride ion solutions and provides increased strength at elevated temperatures.

Properties of UNS s31600 are similar to those of type 304 except that type 316 is somewhat stronger at elevated temperatures. Corrosion resistance is highly improved. Particularly against sulfuric, hydrochloric, acetic, formic and tartaric acids, acid sulfates and alkaline chlorides.
